Description: Scholars of nineteenth-century American literature have formulated new approaches to reading the nineteenth century—and to reading in the nineteenth century. Panelists consider how reading functions as an analytic able to reconfigure approaches to race, gender, sexuality, class, and disability in American literary studies.
