Description: Panelists discuss results from the MLA's census of 2016 language course enrollments, with an emphasis on trends in enrollments across higher education. Special attention is given to programs that have stable or increasing enrollments at a time when there are decreasing enrollments overall. What enables some programs to grow, especially now? Our working assumption is that curriculum primarily determines the rise and fall of enrollments.
