Session Information

Description: This working group unites scholars from a variety of disciplines to examine the wide-ranging and historically specific uses of ghosts in the circum-Caribbean as aesthetic, ethical, and political practices. One question this group seeks to address concerns how the obligation to live with ghosts might mediate an engagement with the unresolved, inescapable, or unfinished histories that haunt the Caribbean such as the legacies of slavery and colonialism in the Americas.
