Description: Panelists explore the possibilities for a hypothetical syllabus, Teaching Arabic (and) Humanism. Drawing on the classroom experiences of teacher-scholars from medieval and modern Arabic literature, modern Arab thought, Arabic linguistics and language pedagogy, and comparative philosophy, this conversation considers pedagogical approaches and framings for such a course.
