Session Information

Description: Social media can be both gift and poison. This session addresses the opportunities and threats (professional, political, personal) posed by being online for women in academe. Participants discuss using social media to work collectively, provide mutual support and mentorship, and challenge institutional hierarchies and inequities, as well as the real risks and limits of online engagement.
