Description: Panelists examine the cultural and historical significance of the exhibition Chicano Art: Resistance and Affirmation (CARA). CARA and its accompanying catalog made an indelible impact on Chicana/o scholarship and cultural politics in general. By focusing on particular aspects of the exhibition, speakers will comment on CARA’s institutional and scholarly legacy and its afterlives.
