I am a lecturer in the Department of English at Texas State University - San Marcos. My research interests include narrative/counternarrative, "rhetoricability," intercultural competence, language rights, and Mad studies - all of which promote diversity and inclusion within and beyond the academy. I am currently exploring first-year English course design that introduces students to researched writing through critical narrative and autoethnography.
