153A. Decolonizing Literature: Where Are We Now?

5:15 PM–6:30 PM Jan 9, 2020 (US - Pacific)

WSCC - 603

Session Information

Description: Panelists meta-critically approach how decolonial praxis undertakes the work of making possible equity within literary study. What kinds of scholarly work can be undertaken by continuing to ask “canon war”–esque questions about book collecting, genre, form, periodization, canonicity, and anthologization? What does that work say about the ongoing project of decolonizing literature?
